The Educational Module was based on the subject Migration in the EU, which is a compulsory subject in the variable part of the Bachelor’s training curriculum according to specialization program No 41.03.01 (Foreign studies) at the International Relations Faculty. The course is part of the 7th term curriculum of intramural form of study.
Two new courses, namely Migration Problems in European Countries and Sociocultural Aspects of Migration, were incorporated into the curriculum of the faculties participating in the Project during its first year. Both the courses are developed at the Faculty of International Relations as part of the Master’s degree 1st year curriculum according to specialization program No 41.03.01 (Foreign studies), and the Bachelor’s degree 4th year curriculum according to specialization program No 03.30.00 (Culture studies).
The courses are logically incorporated into the curriculum, running from the 1st year of Bachelor’s program to the 2nd year of Master’s program and are accompanied by other courses that contribute to a better understanding of the content of major courses of the Module.
Since migrants are bearers of certain cultural and religious values that determine the national and cultural mentality, it is necessary to provide the students who study migration processes and migration policy in Europe with basic knowledge on intercultural communication, cultural and civilizational models, sociocultural and gender aspects of society.

The papers are available on our website:
During the course in Intercultural Communication the students of the Regional Studies Department and the Economy of Foreign Countries Department of the International Relations Faculty prepared a number of reports on gender aspects of migration, migration as a process of intercultural communication, and other subjects:
Drawing students’ attention to migration problems in a number of courses arises their interest in this subject and makes them choose it as the subject of their course papers or final qualification works.
Thus, in the 2016-2017 academic year eleven Bachelor’s degree students in their final year successfully defended qualification works on the problems considered in the Project. Some of the papers are available on our website, such as: British Exit from the EU as a Result of Migration Crisis in Europe by Evgeniya Bortnikova, Transit Migration to Europe (illustrated by the situation in France) by Albert Arzimanov, The Role of International Organizations in Managing Migration Crisis in the EU by Olga Skrynnikova .
