On November 20, 2017, 25 students of the 2nd and 3rd year of the faculty of the Romance and Germanic philology (field "Translation and Translation Studies"), members of one of the target groups of the PolidEU project, met with representatives of the Voronezh brewery Baltika, which is now part of the international Carlsberg Group.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the problems of taking into account identity issues in the business sphere. The meeting was held in two stages.

Firstly, the students got acquainted with the process of beer production on automated lines within the framework of the excursion conducted by the employee of the company "Baltica" Elena Pechuritsa. The tour was accompanied by a consecutive translation into French, which was prepared as part of the students’ project work. This type of activity was aimed at improving the professional competencies of students, which is one of the main objectives of the PolidEU project.

After the excursion, the students met with a representative of the quality management department of Baltika. They were told how European values, such as labor safety, lifelong learning, sustainable development, environmental safety, influenced the transformation within the Russian enterprise after its accession to the European concern.

The department of French Philology and the work group of the PolidEU project thank the employees of the Baltika brewerie for their cooperation.
