On April 20, 2017, in the framework of the Jean Monnet project PolidEU, Vyacheslav Aviutsky, lecturer at the Higher School of Economics in Paris (France), delivered two lectures to the students of the French philology department.

The first lecture was devoted to the problems of intercultural communication. V. Aviutsky, using the example of advertising messages, demonstrated to students how cultural values and identity elements are refracted in communication, and also analysed several cases together with the participants.

During the second lecture Mr. Aviutsky presented to the participants the approaches to the definition of European identity, the main principles of the policy of multiculturalism and gave examples of its implementation. Classes were conducted using active teaching methods.
