From the 3d to the 10th of December the 3d and the 4th year students studied the contents of the Module 6 «Globalization. The official, regional and minority languages in Europe» (Globalisation. Langues officielles, régionales et minoritaires en Europe) devoted to the globalisation challengies and protecting the European languages.

The projects carried out by the students covered the following topics:

The project was completed by the 4th year students (Theory and Methodology of Foreign Language Teaching) Nelli Drai and Margarita Komarova. They chose France for their presentation and covered the principles of the French language policy, enumerated the main institutions responsible for its implementation and spoke about the position of minority and regional languages.

This research was carried out by the 3d year student Jeanna Pavelieva. She paid special attention to the criteria which are used to define that a language is endangered, considered some examples of endangered languages and measures for their protection.
